Our Products are Kosher!

All of Solana Gold Organics products bear the stamp of KSA (Kosher Supervision of America). This certification states that our products are under strict rabbinical supervision and are certified Kosher and Pareve and bear the KSA symbol of certification.

Kosher, the Hebrew word for "proper", encompasses 3000-year-old biblical laws concerning food consumption. A study, in 2002, showed that $150 billion of kosher-certified products are consumed annually.

Kosher products are consumed by Jews, Muslims, Seventh-Day Adventists, vegetarians, vegans, lactose-intolerant individuals, and many others who purchase kosher products for religious or philosophical reasons. Because concerns about the integrity of our food supply are increasing, we have elected to have our products kosher certified to let consumers know that our product(s) are of the highest integrity and purity. Of course, in the process of having our products certified kosher, we have been forced to reevaluate every process, procedure, system and control we use in all aspects of our business.

Kosher certification requires strict adherence to a series of guidelines governing the usage, production, packaging, and labeling of food products. The main points include: (1) Meat and dairy products must never be used together; (2) no shellfish, pork, or insects may be consumed in any form, including ingredients derived from these sources; and (3) all meet must be slaughtered according to strict guidelines.

A kosher product may be designated either pareve (neutral), dairy, meat, or for Passover. Pareve means the product contains no dairy-or meat-derived ingredients. Dairy means the product contains dairy ingredients, or was processed on dairy manufacturing equipment. Meat means the product contains meat or poultry ingredients, or was manufactured on equipment used for meat processing. Finally, Passover means the product ingredients are safe for use during the Passover holiday.

Ever had fruits that looked great but tasted blah?

That's because many commercial farms rush fruits to market before they are ready. Their marketers select 'shipper' apples for skin color uniformity, to stir impulse buys. Our apple trees signal us when the time is ripe by dropping at peak flavor, texture and aroma.

Why bother "Going Organic?"

Organic is now a multi-billion dollar market. Health conscious consumers say, "I like the 'organic alternative' from my neighborhood store." General consumers tend to eventually follow the true organic types - from the civil rights causes and anti-war sentiments - to the current cause of food safety and personal health responsibility.

Whether you are a consumer or a reseller, 'bother going organic', because it's not secret that chemical farm sprays have been implicated in cancer, birth defects, and nervous system disorders. EPA admits they " ...registered many pesticides BEFORE their harm was proven...and chemical phase-outs can take as long as four years." That is why you are increasingly hearing others say...

"No thanks. Make mine organic!"
